The Definitive Guide To Google Adsense

I was attracted to this book for two main reasons - firstly as someone who has Adsense across multiple domains this book promised to increase my Adsense income considerably, and secondly (and this is the honest truth!) the author, William Charlwood, lives just a few minutes drive away so I was fascinated to see what he'd created.

The book stretches to 101 pages, plus a secret "bonus chapter" you get a day or so after purchase.

I'm pleased to say that this guide was pretty definitive as the title promised although because of this it spend a considerable amount of time discussing how and why you might like to join Google Adsense (information freely available elsewhere).

This is not a cheap ebook so I felt slightly put out to be paying for this reasonably well-known information though those who haven't yet added Adsense to their site will find this section clear and easy to understand with numerous good-quality images to support the story.

However as I mentioned my real motivation for buying this book was the search for ideas to increase my Adsense income.

Here the book does well.

The author raises a number of points of interest to me including how to position your ads for the best response, and a number of "secret" techniques that promise to increase your revenue and many of these were things I hadn't fully considered.

The author also provides a number of interesting Adsense-related links and resources which I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere and have found gave me much food for thought.

Possibly most interesting of all is that the author breaks down the Adsense payment plan. This "secret algorithm" dictates how much money Google actually pays you per click and this is the first clear breakdown of the behind-the-scenes formula that Google do not officially publish but that the author has deduced using a variety of research techniques.

Using this information the author shows how it is possible to increase revenues still further.

For me, as someone who is reasonably familiar with Adsense, I would say only 25 or so pages held any revelations but if they do indeed turn out to increase my Adsense income noticeably as the author promises then these few pages will have been well worth the price of this book.

If you either have Adsense already running on your site or you're considering adding it then this book really does make a good read.
