"Turn Words Into Traffic" by Jim EdwardsThere are a number of what I call "Phases" in Internet marketing. These "Phases" are so-called, because they come and go. Usually. Generally, those new to the Internet, and hoping to make their fortune online enter at Phase 1. A few, unlucky, or ill-informed individuals stay willingly at Phase 1 for ever more. They're the one's that give up before long. Because they're not making any money. The lucky, successful individuals, those destined for great rewards, progress to Phase 2. A tiny few will finally reach the "top level" - Phase 3. The question is, what Phase are you on at the moment? The aim is to reach Phase 2 as quickly as possible. Once there, you naturally, easily and effortlessly rise to Phase 3. It happens without even trying. And that's when the fun, and real success begins. So let's start at the beginning. Phase 1. Most people's entry to the Internet... Phase 1 involves being willing to try anything. Ideally, starting with the things billed as being "foolproof" or "easy" or "risk free". Unfortunately, very little on the Internet is "profit on autopilot", and these guys fall into a nasty trap. The "bizop" mentality. They follow the advice of other newbies - placing free ads, spamming decent folk, mailing to "safe lists", traffic multiplication services, buying pop-under ads, spamming to discussion forums, maybe trying a few spammy search engine "tricks". Do you see successful businesses online doing this? No, because it doesn't work. Infact, by using these techniques you're not running a business of any form. It's unfortunate, but you become part of the problem on the Internet. One of those people who make life unpleasant for others. And you waste your time, and your money. And that of those people you spam too. Not good. The best piece of advice I can give you bar none, if you do, or are considering any of the above techniques is not to. You can get closed down for it. And besides that, these methods honestly don't work. Whether you take my advice, as someone who makes a full-time living from the Internet, or whether you want to waste months (years?) or your life and hundreds if not thousands of dollars in proving it to yourself is up to you. But until you face up to the fact that Phase 1 shouldn't really even be classed as a Phase at all, and that if you want to make real money online you need to get to Phase 2 as soon as is humanly possible you'll be floundering without success. But once you hit Phase 2, then you can start taking those exotic holidays you dreamed of. Trust me. I have never spammed in my life, but when I first started out I tried various "guaranteed" methods of attracting visitors and sales. For example, I really did post hundreds of free ads each week for 6 months before I was ready to quit. In exasperation I looked around at what others who were where I wanted to be were doing. And then I started to enter Phase 2... Phase 2 comes with the realisation that Phase 1 is a total waste of time and money. Phase 2 involves realising there's no such thing as "guaranteed visitors" or "guaranteed sales", and that spam emails you get about how to "Make $100,000 In The Next 48 Hours" are all lies. And many of them are probably illegal to boot. Phase 2 involves realising that anything worth achieving is worth working for. And that if you find a limited number of techniques that work for attracting visitors and work on them until you've perfected them you're making the best investment you can make for your business. And yes. When you enter Phase 2, you really do have a "business" too. Phase 2 involves studying hard to see what methods really do attract hoards of high-quality traffic. And it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg either. In all honesty, there really are only a handful of techniques that work. That have always worked. And probably always will. Techniques the big boys use. Techniques that grow your business fast once you learn how to use them. Techniques that have helped take this site from initial idea to the world's 5th most popular site for merchant account advice in under 12 months. But then again, that's Phase 2 for you. Techniques covered at this site are definately Phase 2 stuff. If not Phase 3. What's Phase 3? Glad you asked... Phase 3 is simply the stage you get to when you've been doing Phase 2 for so long, when you've had so much practise and experience as to not just use Phase 2 techniques, but to have got them perfected. Sitting down with a blank canvas, your knowledge can get you to where you want to get to fast. Because you know what works. You've tried it. Tested. Watched the results. Improved them, and tried again. I like to think of Phase 3 as being at the point where you've boiled down all the techniques of Phase 2 until you have developed your own "traffic formula". You know exactly what works. You can constantly see opportunities. It becomes almost effortless. You know how to optimize your website ethically for the search engines. You have learned through the university of hard knocks how to set up a profitable pay-per-click campaign. You know how to email market. You can get free publicity whenever you want it. Or work out amazing joint venture deals with other successful site owners. And you know exactly how to write articles that will bring a constant stream of pre-qualified visitors to your site, without you needing to spend a penny. And it's this very technique - a Phase 2 technique in the best possible way, that Jim Edwards' new book - Words Into Traffic - is all about. Like I say, I speak from the heart, and from 6 years of experience. And writing articles, then using them correctly really will bring in serious traffic. It's a method that we've used extensively in the past with great success. And one that we continue to take time over each month. And Jim Edwards is a seriously hard-core Phase 3 marketer. But first to the technique... The technique is simple enough - you write articles related to the subject of your website. If you have a website about dogs, you write articles about dog nutrition, about exiercising your dog, about various dog breeds, on house training and so on. Then, you simply use a variety of simple techniques to get others to publish your articles in their newsletters and on their websites. These articles then attract visitors to your site. And pleasantly, done correctly, these visitors can continue for a long time to come. As I'm sure you can imagine, whilst it all sounds very simple there's rather more to it than meets the eye...
And so on. And it's this sort of information you can only get from a Phase 3 marketer, like Jim Edwards. The simple fact is that this method is one of the best available for attracting visitors to your site, whether you buy Jim's book or not. It's your choice. But if you want to reach Phase 3 as quickly as possible, it's worth me saying that Jims book is one of the very best, if not the best that I have read on the subject. So if you're serious about building your business, I highly recommend you at least check out Jim's book. There is a 100% money back guarantee if you're not happy - no strings attached - though at the time of writing, according to Jim himself, not a single one of our visitors who went over and bought his book has requested a refund. And that's impressive. Check it out today by clicking here. Privacy Policy | Site Map | UK Merchant Accounts | International Merchant Accounts | © 2001 - 2005 |
